Terms of Service

NovaScale is a productivity app with built-in Tailscale connectivity. It is designed to help users access hosts and services inside their own tailnet.

To use NovaScale with Tailscale, users must authorize the app as a Tailscale client so it can join their tailnet. Once authorized, users may use NovaScale for tasks including, but not limited to, SSH, SFTP, host monitoring, and browsing web services inside their tailnet.

Service Principles

Because NovaScale joins the user’s tailnet, privacy and data safety are important design principles of the app.

We follow these core principles:

  • We do not collect personal information.
  • App configurations are stored locally by default.
  • Credentials are protected using Apple Keychain.
  • Where enabled, selected app data may be synced using Apple iCloud.
  • Tailscale library log collection is disabled by default.
  • NovaScale will not install software or scripts on a user’s device or host unless the user is clearly informed and gives consent.
  • We carefully evaluate the third-party libraries used in the app.

NovaScale uses RevenueCat to manage in-app purchases and subscriptions. RevenueCat may collect purchase-related information as necessary to provide and validate purchases and subscriptions.

User Responsibilities

You agree to use NovaScale in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. You are fully responsible for any actions initiated from within the app, including connections to hosts, file transfers, commands, and access to services inside your tailnet.

We strongly recommend using Tailscale ACLs, Tailscale policies, or equivalent Headscale access controls if you self-host, to limit the access scope of the NovaScale node.
